I am working in a half-way house which served rehabilitant of mental illness for three years. Our clients mainly suffer from schizophrenia.
Our clients face many serious problems. For instances, they will repeat a job many times, and exaggerate their unhappy past experiences. These are common symptoms of mental illness. Besides, they always exist in a world of delusions; their visions are more real to them than reality. Therefore, for them, it is very hard to try to figure out a balance between what it is from what it does. Moreover, a few clients may choose a pessimistic altitude, they will hold a "nothing-at-all" hope towards everything they come across. Sometimes, they will be easily affected by other patients and the surrounding. Owing to some clients are more emotional and unstable, we need put more effort and time to change their view.
